New Edinburgh Colleague in NT

November 18, 2011

Over on the blog-site for our Centre for the Study of Christian origins, there’s a notice about the appointment of our soon-to-be colleague in NT, Dr. Matt Novenson, who joins the academic staff in the School of Divinity in January 2012:

Matt is a Paul-specialist, and with impressive competence also in the Jewish context of earliest Christianity.   I want to post here my own public welcome to him and his family, and to encourage prospective PhD students with interest in his areas of expertise to get in touch with him.

Matt’s first book, due out in 2012 =

Christ among the Messiahs: Christ Language in Paul and Messiah Language in Ancient Judaism (Oxford University Press in March 2012).

  1. I am glad to see a fellow Covenant Seminary graduate taking the post in New Testament at New College. I wish Matt well and am glad to be a follower of this blog.
    Thanks,
    Spencer
