Special CSCO Day

September 7, 2011

I’m very honored and grateful that colleagues here in the Centre for the Study of Christian Origins (CSCO) have planned a special day-event to be held in New College, Friday, 07 October, and focused on the main areas of my research-publications over the last 30 years.  My successor as Director of  CSCO, Dr. Helen Bond, proposed the idea and has spearheaded the planning.

Dr. Tommy Wasserman kicks off the morning with a presentation on NT textual criticism, followed by Dr. Thomas Kraus on early Christian manuscripts.  After lunch, there is then an afternoon session featuring Prof. Richard Bauckham and focused on early Jesus-devotion.

At the end of the day, there will be a drinks reception sponsored by CSCO.

Should anyone be interested and able to come, you should contact Dr. Bond (h.bond@ed.ac.uk).  She’ll want to know to plan for the drinks reception!

Tommy mentioned the plan in London summer–I wish I could be there to participate. Enjoy the day!
